Troop Verse:
“So, as those who have been chosen of God,
holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion,
kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
Colossians 3:12
Thank you for your interest in Troop MI0312. We are always excited to have new families join us. AHG has a lot to offer! Our girls have many opportunities to grow in their faith, learn new skills, serve the community, and have fun together. Our chartering organization is Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Parish, but we welcome all Christian families from the surrounding communities. We have families that attend OLGC school, other schools in the area, or are home schooled. Currently, we meet biweekly on Mondays. We hope to hear from you soon! We welcome inquiries about joining.
Troop Meeting Structure
Troop MI0312 meets on Monday evenings about two times a month during the school year. We also strive to plan one non-meeting event per month such as a service project or family event.
On a normal troop meeting night, we will begin with a flag ceremony and opening prayer. Then we typically break into Units for girls to focus on the badgework appropriate to their level. Parents may stay for meetings as long as they have signed in and wear a nametag. To conclude the night we all come back together for closing flag ceremonies and prayer. We occasionally take field trips, either by unit or whole troop, to also fulfill badge requirements.
